No Game No Life Wiki

For those unaware, there has been some debate whether the wiki should use the current or official names in regards to Schwi/Shuvi (and to a lesser extent, Think/Shinku). Some notable threads can be found here and a recent one here. Basically, some users believe the wiki should use the 'official' names (Schwi) while others prefer to use the older names (Shuvi). Since the wiki is not just one person, I figured I'll make a poll here to see what everyone thinks.

But first, here's my opinion/rant.

Personally, I think the wiki should use the official names. This wiki is one of, if not, the largest database for NGNL. Therefore, the wiki should contain some of the latest info regarding NGNL. Wouldn't it make sense to use the official names? In addition, most NGNL goods use Schwi over Shuvi. Some merchandise was shown using these names in the first thread. Still not convinced? The official site uses Schwi & Think for their goods. AFAIK, Shuvi is how you pronounce Schwi, and is possibly what fan-translations use (not 100% sure about this).

On the other hand, sticking to Shuvi isn't a bad idea either. Despite its size, this is not an official NGNL wiki. It's a fan-made wiki dedicated to NGNL, created by its fans. If the majority of people decide to use Shuvi, just stick with Shuvi. Even if an official translation exists, it may not represent what the author originally intended. English and Japanese are two different languages, so some things may have slipped past translators, such as Fiel/Feel.

This wiki is a community project, so the community should decide how things work here. Nobody 'owns' the wiki, not even the admins. Administrators are users with extra tools to help the community. (Note: I'm not judging any admins/moderators of this wiki. I have no doubt that y'all earned and deserve your positions.)

Anyways, here's to poll.

I'm not sure if this blog will be noticed. I probably should've put this on the forums instead, but I already typed all this (¯\_(ツ)_/¯). And there's also an achievement for making a blog post, so I might as well make it a good blog. I'm not an admin here, nor have I been a long-time admin on other wikis. I prefer to use the official names, but if the community decides otherwise, then so be it. Feel free to leave a comment, and please be civil.
