The Spirit Compass (霊針盤(れいしんばん), Reishinban) is a homemade tool that detects the masses of spirits harbored in the bodies of the gods and their relations to show the direction they are in. In other words, it detects not only magical energy in the area, but also spiritual energy that may identify which race is nearby, and how close they are in proximity.

Due to this, if there is a large amount of Black Ash in the area, the readings become too foggy and difficult to make accurate sense of.

Riku used the Spirit Compass to identify the Elf Development Facility, and the Dwarf Development Facility.

Creation

The Spirit Compass was created specifically for Riku by Corone Dola. Riku made alterations with her in order to make it more useful.

Materials

It combines pyroxene and obsidian for magical detection. And utalizes low-grade iron, wood, and appears to have a chestnut type design.

Pyroxene is a mineral that is more sensitive to the spirit circuits, but once paired with obsidian, redirects the magical flow into the obsidian tip, and also cancels out pyroxene magical presence.
