Nina Clive (ニーナ・クライヴ, Nīna Kuraivu) was one of the protagonists of Practical War Game. An Elf that lived during the Great War, he also had direct control over the Áka Si Anse and the Elf Development Facility. After Think Nirvalen fakes her death, she makes Nina have the title of Gran Magus in order to accomplish her plans, during this time, Think believed that Nina was female because she never asked his real gender.

Appearance[]

Being short and slender while having fair skin, Nina has a rather feminine appearance, so much that Think didn't realize his true gender over many years. His blonde hair is mostly short except for 2 bangs framing his face and reaches all the way down to his thigh, transitioning to lavender in color at the end. His eyes are dark blue with 4 diamond shaped irises and he is always wearing a pair of glasses. He has 3 soul stones on his forehead and pointy ears like all Elves.

He is often seen wearing many accessories, like a hat adorned with colorful feathers, a yellow patterned scarf and a red bracelet on his left thigh. When he's posing as the Gran Magus, he would wear a cloak decorated with many badges and medals.

His default clothing is rather revealing, exposing his shoulders, midriff and thighs. It's likely worn according to Think's preferences rather than his, however.

Personality[]

He is cautious and do things with diligence, as seen when he was carrying out all tasks assigned by Think properly, be it buying pornographic books, cleaning her up or acting as the Gran Magus on her behalf.

He appears to be meek and obedient when facing Think in private, but is capable of putting up a strong and confident front when posing as the Gran Magus. Also, he appears to have a crush on Think, so much that he was willing to endure her sexual harassment and take on very difficult task for her sake. He proposed to Think when Disboard was created, which she reciprocated somewhat, but their relationship in the end was rather peculiar.

Abilities[]

Strengths[]

Nina is truly a remarkable individual, blessed with exceptional intelligence and a talent for magic that is nothing short of extraordinary. As a Gran Magus, his impact on the Elf race has been profound and far-reaching. He has challenged traditional ideas and redefined the foundations of Elven magic, leading to a new era of advancement and progress. With his innovative theories and groundbreaking discoveries, Nina has become the youngest Elf to ever attain the title of Gran Magus and earn the title of "octa-caster."

Nina's genius extends beyond just his magical abilities. He has taken on the daunting task of reorganizing the Elven military, stepping into the shoes of his predecessor, Think Nirvalen, and transforming the army in a way that is both revolutionary and visionary. With his exceptional intelligence and unparalleled achievements, Nina has eclipsed Think Nirvalen and cemented his place as one of the greatest geniuses in Elven history.

As a penta-caster, Nina is capable of channeling an impressive five spells simultaneously, surpassing the capabilities of even the most elite quad-casters. In addition to his magical prowess, Nina has also demonstrated a keen sense of strategy and diplomacy, successfully posing as the head developer of the Spirit-Breaking Rites without being discovered, relying solely on Think's instructions. This showcases his remarkable abilities in the realm of diplomacy and makes him a formidable force in any situation.

Weaknesses[]

He is not confident with himself and find it difficult to say "No", especially against Think. This resulted in him often getting bullied by Think as he is very dependent on her.

Background[]

Nina had always been looking up to Think as a genius upperclassman when they were studying in the Garden. After Think's defeat in the hands of Lóni Drauvnir, she faked her death and hid herself in Nina's house. Under Think's machination, Nina was given Think's thesis to graduate and eventually became the Gran Magus to act on behalf of Think. Also, Nina takes care of Think as her husband as Think is incredibly apathetic in taking care of herself. During the Great War, the name Nina Clive would be used by Think on any documents with info related to the Áka Si Anse.

After the Great War, the Nirvalen family prospered and became a powerful family while the Clive family broke down due to unknown reasons. It can be assumed that Nina lost her bet against Think, therefore Think became the "husband" and her surname is the one that prevailed.
