Nýi Tilvilg (ニーイ・ティルヴィルグ, nīi tiruvirugu), nicknamed Til (ティル, Tiru) is a handicapped Dwarf that appears in Volume 10 of the Light Novel. After the events of the volume, she is now accompanying Sora and Shiro on their adventures after self-exiled from her home country, Harden Fell.
Appearance[]
Nýi has the appearance of a tan young girl although, in actuality, she is 84 years old. She has messy platinum hair which gradually fades into a tint of yellow. and seems to have azure eyes with cerulean blue pupils. On her head, she has two horns and a pair of goggles. She also has a monocle and one earring. She also has many different markings around her body. Unlike other Dwarves, Nýi absolutely has no body hair, making her unable to overload. According to her, she is "as smooth as a dolphin."
She dons a large white cloak that is tied at the bottom and is attached to a pair of suspenders with a ring around her waist and has a pair of gloves and boots. In their initial meeting, Sora has a poor first impression due to the cloak covering her entire body until she untied it later.
Personality[]
Nýi has serious self-esteem issues shown in occasionally calling herself a "mole", due to her lack of Mithril hair and being shunned by her fellow Dwarf people, to the extent of not even recognizing herself as a Dwarf. Therefore, She has forsaken her allegiance to Dwarf and had no objection in 『 』's plot against her uncle.
Since her childhood, she has always dreamed of seeing the sky and hates her home Harden Fell due to it's subterranean nature. She used to have aspirations to exceed her uncle Veig in terms of crafting but eventually lost it and become the self-conscious girl she is at the beginning of the volume. After meeting Sora and Shiro, Nýi becomes more confident in herself and regains her aspirations. She has a very avant-garde way of speaking occasionally ending phrases with "...I do!"

Strength[]
Nýi doesn't possess any Mithril Hair, thus she can't overload when she uses magic. Although it was thought that she couldn't use magic at all at first, it is later seen that she can boost her magic as much as possible without overloading. She can even use Heaven's Strike at 1%, a feat that no other Dwarves are capable of doing without instantly dying. Nýi can also create magic inscriptions base on what she sees, as demonstrated when she created an inscription based on the Jibril's teleportation spell, and Heaven's Strike at 1% that Jibril showed to her.
Like the rest of her race, Nýi has a natural intuition for creating structures and inventions, although she proclaims that they never work.
Weaknesses[]
Although she can't overload, she can't amplify magic and she needs external amplification to use it. Thanks to this, she can't use her magic to create things, but she can still fix them. According to her, none of her devices have ever "succeeded" and have always blown up right in her face, although Sora and Shiro count those as successes.
She can't understand the magic inscriptions of the Dwarves, so she uses the Elf system to create magic inscriptions, as remarked by Sora.
Background[]
When Nyi was 5 years old, she made a vow against Veig to surpass him in Spirit Arms creation, which seems to make Veig smitten with her. According to Nyi, Veig would turn her busts big whenever they met, as if he's trying to make her his ideal bride. When she grew up, she herself hairless and talentless, which contributed to her inferiority complex and had her distanced herself from Veig.
During the events of Volume 10, Veig discovered that he had been set up by 『 』 via his intuition, hence he put Nyi into a Subterrane and sent her to the Apothecary of Dreams as a messenger. She brought 『 』 to Hardenfell, in which they accepted Veig's challenge for a Spirit Arms Battle. When she heard 『 』's request for her to create their Spirit Arms, she escaped using the duplicated Teleportation rite and hid herself in a scrapyard on top of the capital. 『 』 found her and reignited her fighting spirit, and they finally face off Veig in the battle.
After the battle ended, Nyi won the position as the Race Representative and Veig formally proposed to her. However, she rejected him harshly and returned all his rights. Afterwards, she proclaimed herself as 『 』's elder sister and her wish to follow them thereafter.

- She is known as Sir. Tilvilg by clan and Nýi Tilvilg at birth.
- In the Yen Press Translation, Tilwig is rather spelled as Tilvilg.
- Shiro regarded her as the greatest threat for Sora's affection.
- She proclaimed herself as Sora and Shiro's elder sister because Shiro said "No one but me can be Nii's (short for onii-chan) little sister“.
