Kainath (カイナース, Kaināsu) is the creator of the Elves, and an Old Deus. Kainath is known as the God of Forest. During her reign of the Elves during the war, Kainath positioned herself in an ever-spreading forest seeded from her Ether. As she used her Ether to protect the Elves territory, to shield her population from the tolls of war, she was worshiped by the Elves as the true god in her natural stronghold.
Appearance
Personality
Kainath considered her fellow deities foolish to oppose her stating them as "false gods" intending to use her creation, the Elves, to destroy the rest of them, and finally obtain the throne of the One True God.
In Practical War Game, Kainath personally summoned and bestowed praise upon Think Nirvalen for her ingenuity and accomplishments and her loyalty to her.
It can be assumed based on Kainath's speech patterns and how she is referred to by others (specifically in the original Japanese) that they are female.
In addition, the location of the Akasha HQ, developing the "Akasha Hollowification Project" conceived by Think, was directly under Kainath's Sanctuary, which developed the Áka Si Anse utilizing a "Spell Furnace."
Surprisingly, Think Nirvalen's attitude towards the Kainath was very arrogant. She repeatedly denounced Kainath as an "incompetent god incapable of communication in any shape or form", "a useless windbag", "shitty", "a slightly more useful than confetti", and an “arrogant and condescending bitch” who is little more than a pawn in greater games. In addition, the Rites of Spirit-Breaking developed by Think exploits the Ether of the Kainath as if it were firewood, almost to the point of lawlessness - but Kainath does not seem to care about these details, and she does not care about the feelings of her creations.
Abilities
Strengths
As an Old Deus, Kainath is incredibly powerful being able to create an entire race.
Kainath's Ether, the concept of nature, allows her to prevent the Elves' territory from becoming barren
Background
In No Game No Life: Zero, Riku Dola states it is one of the three most powerful Old Deus. During the Great War, the Elves had been ruled by Kainath, and Think Nirvalen and Nina Clive both having served as the "Gran Magus" respectively being directly responsible for directing the Elven Forces, planning Cities and controlling the flow of military information. However, after Tet announced the Ten Covenants, Think and Nina, split the elves establishing the nation of Elven Gard and vigorously promoted democracy, resulting in the gradual weakening of their creator's influence over the race, and was eventually replaced by the Elves complicated political factions. Today, about 6,000 years later, Kainath is practically no longer in charge of any affairs of the Elf race and is remarked to be a "grumbling old deus."
