The Fairy (
Fairies are the race of flowers and Elves are the protectors of the forest, so they are ecologically compatible. If they were freed from Elven Gard, it would be equivalent to the Elves selling their national secrets to another race. In the most likely scenario, the Elves could lose their territory on the Andalusia Continent to the Dwarves whom they had been competing against for millennia.
Fairies replenish their souls by literally feeding off the romantic escapades of magical beings, without this they wouldn’t be able to use magic at all, but Fairies reproduced asexually and aren’t capable of feeling love so they have to rely on other races to replenish their souls. This is why they allowed themselves to be enslaved by Elven Gard.
Strengths[]
During the Great War, fairies were ranked in the top 7 Ixseed. They managed to take out Flügel in the double digits and could destroy an entire cluster of Ex-Machina single-handedly.
Spratul/Sprite Tune (洛園堕とし): Fairies use their souls to construct a spatial phase boundary known as a spratul. It is essentially a subspace of reality. The Sprite Tune is the spell while the Spratul if the space itself. Jibril explains it simply as a virtual space built over the internet that can be modified using their souls to create anything in the space. Inside it Fairies are capable of creating anything they want to. Within spratul, only fairies are able to access spirit corridors.
Souls/Soul Power: Fairies have a unique set of spirit corridor junction nerves that extend through spatial phase boundaries like roots or mycelium, called the Linkernet, allowing them to link up with each other. They can also trade their souls or portions of them with each other, giving each other soul power or converting them to extend their lifespan.
They also function as plants, or flowers; only needing dirt, water, and sunlight to function.
Weaknesses[]
Reliance on other races: Fairies have to rely on their races to replenish their souls, in other words, to use magic. Without other races they wouldn’t be able to use any magic.
Higher Ranked Ixseed
History[]
During the Great War, the Fairies allied with the Elves in order to develop magic capable of controlling high ranking Ixseeds. However when their experimental subject Phantasma Cloud Vortex went berserk, the Flügels intervened and slaughtered the 2 fairy developers who helped in completing the Áka Si Anse. The Fairy villages in the exposed 'realm of space' was attacked as well.
Despite having their two developers in the Áka Si Anse killed, the fairy still had their 'trump card' Sprite Tune. After the Great War ended, most of the Fairies were enslaved, although some chose to be, and no known agent plenipotentiary was established.
It is said that as a game, they engage in turf wars where they effectively paint over each other’s territories to see who can claim the most space.
Follwing the Matchmaking Game in Volume 11, Foeniculum becoemes the Race Representative for the Fairies and joined the Commonwealth of Elkia.
Form of Government[]
Fairies are known to use their souls as forms of currency that can be traded across the Linkernet.
